34 La Gorce Island home sold for $14 million setting the record for price per square foot in Miami-Dade County.
The property features 4,846 square feet of adjusted living area on a nearly 23,000 square foot lot. Originally built in 1941, the estate includes six bedrooms, the six bathrooms and wide bay views.
The buyer paid $611 per square foot for the property or $2,889 per square foot for the entire estate. The previous record sale was in December 2013 for the sale of 2550 Bay Avenue which sold for $529 per square foot for the lto and $2,230 per square foot for the home.
The new buyer has plans to tear down the home.
